Like the 1870 EK2, courtesy of Michael Autengruber, here is a Golden Merit Medal of the Ducal Saxe-Ernestine House Order (goldene Verdienstmedaille des Herzoglich Sachsen-Ernestinischen Hausordens) from the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. This particular one has the Swords Clasp "1914/8". I snoozed and missed out on its little brother, the silver merit medal. According to Neal O'Connor, 828 of these golden medals with various years on the swords clasps were awarded.
