I recently acquired three WWI German Pilot Badges and an award case from the collection of my deceased friend. Since I am primarily a collector of WWII German items, I have little experience with Imperial decorations and would like to know more about what I have. I have the following items:
1/ Unmarked Pilot's Badge
2/ C.E. Juncker 800 silver marked Pilot's Badge marked on the reverse on the center of the badge. This badge appears to have had a silver wash applied to it, most of which is still intact.
3/ C.E. Juncker 800 silver marked Pilot's Badge marked on the reverse above the catch. Appears to be all silver with no silver wash applied.
4/ C.E. Juncker marked award case.
I would appreciate it if you knowledgeable Imperial collectors could tell me the value of each badge and the case and rank them according to their desireability. Also which one of the Juncker's marked badges is most appropriate for the case that I have? Or would both be correct for this case? I look forward to everyone's responses. Thanks!
