        Ron,
I am still trying to learn how to read ribbon bars but something does
not look right to me about this one. The Hindenburg cross was awarded
after 1934. So to have that PLUS the 1866 cross would mean at least
68 years of service. PLEASE SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.
I think the 1870/71 war service medal alos uses a red, black, white
ribbon. Maybe that is the medal that actually belongs on that bar.

          Greg,

You are probably right about that. Perhaps this medal was missing and the dealer replaced it with the HC not knowing the difference since the ribbons are the same.

I am not really up on Imperiel Medals as I should be, so any help is really appreciated.

          Best regards,
          RonR

            The medals should be

            1866 Campaign Medal
            1870 Campaign Medal
            Centenial Medal

Nice bar. The actual medals are common enough, so you should not have too much difficulty in finding them. You already have the 1866 medal. The 1870 and Centenial Medals could be had for about 70 dollars or less for both.

Here is a bar I have that contains all three medals, for comparison.

Thanks for this info. I probably have both and will try to re post this the way it should be.

              Again, thanks!

The other medals(except the Hindenburg Cross) are most likely commemorative medals.

I cannot wait to see the bar, the way it should be!

The two commemoratives would likely have the red, white, black ribbons. Steve

Take the right cross to the left and take the left medal away. There must be placed a Centenarmedal 1897.
