Just got this in as well....just sharing my fun and throwing it out there for comment and info and sharing yours as well...as I continue to learn in the Imperial realm. Nothing spectacular but the bars seem to carry more intrigue and just have that "look"...more regal in some ways. I just like to see them because you all have such great pieces...

Nice NCO's bar-lots of service. I'll bet he wore his Ek2 in the button hole-or didn't survive long enough to get one. Later padded mounting style though-so maybe a homefront guy.Comment

Thanks guys...see this is why I love to stick these little things up here...I get information like you both shared...simple to many here but new knowledge for me. Thanks for that. I'm afraid I am not as much a student of history as I should be in this hobby...so I appreciate even the smallest info you all give on this forum.
Any recommendations on an Imperial book for orders and decorations I can score to educate myself outside the forum discussions??

A basic work that is available is purvis's World War one medals book.
there is no comprehensive imperial german guide-yet, but lots of specific sources. Neal o'Conner's 7 volumes are great. the place to start is of course, Dave danners' site.Comment
