Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Very nice! These are very rare, especially in that condition.

Nice to see one with the ring still attached. The last two I have
seen had the small ring broken off.

        Nice cross

WOW . Absolutely stunning detail on the cross . See the detail of the stem on the oakleaf and the crown. Never seen that amount of detail before.
Well done on such a nice find...

I have a 1914 EK1 that is a one piece all brass construction. I like it but that EK2 is really sweet. The detail is sharp. Wish I could come across one myself.

                  Hi there,

I have two EK2 just like the one Bob posted here - I picked them up in Paris about three years ago. Those two were actually my first EK2 before I started to read up on them, and initially I thought that they were fakes!

Am I correct in thinking that they are late/ early post-war pieces stamped out of brass for late post-war bestowals for mebers of the Freikorps etc.?

Does anyone have more info on these?

After getting my first three piece constructed EK, I thought to sell them off - but I decided to keep them, because the detail on them is just incredible. Glad I did.

                  Cheers
                  Thorsten

My brass one piece EK1 has been identified as a piece from the 1930's so that theory could be correct.

That is a fine looking EK2 regardless of the period!
