Hi Guys, Does anyone out there have any cloth arm badges for Zeppelin crews. I would love to see any other examples other than mine.I have seen a Marine example once before ( excluding the crumby copies you see on ebay) but I have never seen another army example before. My army example is yellow stitch on a feldgrau oval. The top surfaces of the yellow thread is pleasingly 'shined' from rubbing over the years and there is still some stitching to the edges. My marine example is about 1/2 as big again and, unlike the army badge, backed with very fragile paper, it too shows signs of stitching around the edge. I don't own one myself, but I have seen several examples that I would consider original. There are some credible fakes, so it pays to do your homework before purchasing one of these. I have done some comparisons to period photos, so I think I have a reasonable idea of what a good one should look like. I can't say that I have seen one on Feldgrau however.
I have found that you can post photos, even if you are not a paying member, by using a free hosting service.
