Hindenburg Figure

I am not sure where this one belongs, sorry if I have put it in the wrong place. It is a pottery type figure, which is approximated at slightly over 2 feet tall. I was struck by it, even though I don't really collect Imperial stuff. I bought it somewhere in Germany (don't remember where or how much) between 1973 and 1976, while stationed there.

Does anyone know if it had a special purpose, i.e. store display (someone once told me they thought that might be the purpose of it)? If someone has a idea of it's worth, I would appreciate their opinion on the subject, as well as any other information about it.

Yes. I think that is correct. I turned it up and you can see where something has been broken off. It was either a walking stick/cane, or a sword. It was never attached to the base, which may be why it got broken. I also took a couple more quick photos of it. The other was taken many years ago with a studio back drop........these are not.
