    EK2 markings?

Just recieved an 1914 EK2 from the e stand. All the other maker marked EK's I have like this have the mark on the ring the ribbon is attaches to. This new one seems to have some markings on the ring that is attached to the cross itself. There appears to be maybe 2 different markings, very hard to make out even with a jewelers loup, but I think one may be KAG. This is a guess only because I know KAG is a known maker of Imperial EKs. The loop attached to the cross is also thicker than my other EK's, (I have 5 others) and does not attach completly to the cross on each side. Without posting pictures, does this sound like something people have seen before as I know there can be differences in Imperial items. Thanks for any replies

    Steve,
I know that some crosses have been found with the small ring
marked. Right of the top of my head, I can not remember
which makers did this. A search back into past threads might
bring some light to the subject.

Thanks. Looks like the odd one has markings on this ring. Wish I could tell what it is. I have another EK2 and I can't tell if the maker mark is V or N or Z. Confusing. I'm working it however.
