Recently i had a spell of people sniping my goods for sale and decided to ad some text to my adverts saying that if no bids were made within an hour of sale ending goods will be removed from auction.
This is not the way it would work for you. If I had bought something from you on ebay I had bid for in the last minute and you would not deliver the item, you would hear from my lawyer! You may not make your own rules! Selling/buying on ebay means both parties have a contract!

Ban sniping but you were going to snipe this? http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...15#post1513015

What is the difference whether you use a program or sit at your keyboard waiting until the last moment? Obviously your principles have manuvuer room.
JMHO, I'm not attacking you, just pointing out an inconsistancy in your postition.

That's the nature of the beast on e-bay. It's happened more times than I care to think of. Hadn't gone to e-bay in months. Went last night and they had a Hansen 1st class for sale in great shape and cheap. Just a few hours left. I bid, set auto bid, got sleepy, and someone stole it at the last minute. Hey, if I wanted it that bad, I would have bid higher. Got lazy and lost it. I personally don't like e-bay, a lot of crap on it, but every once in a while, something turns up. Point is, sniping and everything else happens on e-bay. Price we pay on e-bay. Sh*t happens.

Indeed, sniping is no diff that putting a high last minute bid. It can't bid any higher than the person was willing to go, so really its in the favor of uber high-bidders.

You quoted me and got it all wrong with your silly talk of lawyers. Read my note again it clearly says.

So if you had bid then obviously this would not apply would it. And apart from the fact that the item had been removed 59 minutes ago would make it all the more amazing.... Take that to court...

legally or not, as long as an item is not sold, i.e. the auction has finished....and as far as I am concerned (and ebay or anyone else), then the item still belongs to the seller and the seller can do with it whatever he/she likes...but, I thought you could not stop an auction on ebay within the last 12 hours of the auction end? Cheers, Torsten.

Yes you can pull an item from Ebay right up till the last seconds . Generally people selling large items like cars have them advertised elsewhere and advertise the fact that it is and they can end the auction at anytime.
There is in fact no contract until a sale is complete, even if someone has bid on your item you can still withdraw your item for this or any other reason.
The 12 hour rule is for editing your item , thus preventing you from changing your description or price etc...
