      Hi,
It looks ok but, just a fe observations...
Are any of the brass medal suspension clips loose or broken on the reverse? It looks as if the bar was under enough pressure at one time to bend the clips. The way that they are bent don't allow the medals to somewhat align, but I also realize that medals were not always positioned so that they would be flush at the bottoms once mounted; especially on this type of mounting. Does it appear that the backing has been removed/re-attached?

        Hi Steven
Thanks for the comments. No sign of backing being removed. Upon close inspection, it looks like the middle clip has been bent in a different place to the outside two. They all are in alignment along the bottom but the middle one folds over differently therefore holding the medal higher. Hope this makes sense. Can you tell me what type of individual this bar would of been awarded to?
        thanks again

          Andy,

The bar looks good from my foxhole as well. Bavarian bars are the most 'unaligned' it seems. Maybe they did it on purpose to be 'unprussian.'

The bar medals would likely indicate an enlisted reservist soldier. It is a nice Ludwig Cross with a good deal of finish remaining. Steve

            Nice bar.
Actually, it is perfect. I would LOVE to own this one.
It says to me, "Bavarian, at-home, Landwehr enlisted man, possibly a POW guard, who didn't live to 1935-so maybe older, stouter and the sort who loved Kyfserbund and Stahlhelm march days-hence he mounted his medals.
