    Good WWI Ek1?

I was offered $275 for this nice WWI Ek1, is it good?

SEEMs OK but hard to tell from the pics. Any markings? The face looks good enough. I'm just a bit uneasy with the tarnish pattern on the back. Steve

I don't know if the cross is real, but at 275$ I think its a bit too overpriced.

I'm with you Franko. Under $200 are out there in scores with some patience. Steve

I don't like this cross. The pin is under sized and attached crooked. The
catch also seems way to frail. Not what I would expect of a Imperial
era cross. I think I would pass on this one, especially considering the
price. For that kind of money you should be able to find better examples.

          Just my 2 cents worth.

I found this cross at http://www.gdmmilitaria.com/ which is headed by Gailen David.

Mr. Gailen David is a pretty well respected dealer. I have not personally
had dealings with him but many others on this forum have. If he believes
it to be original then I would tend to believe him.
I still would look for a better example for the money BUt that's just
                me.

I don't see naything wrong with this EKI other than the price may be a bit too stiff for me.

I wouldn't worry about the pin as it looks to be a round pin. If that turns out to be true then it is scarcer than a single screwback example.
