Here is some pictures of a recently acquired 1st Class EK 1914 in the case of issue. SW marked non vaulted, no silver hallmark. I am a real addict when it comes to these imperial Iron Crosses in my opinion they are the best of the best. You just have to admire the excellence of detail and construction work. Nice one! I agree; in general the 1914 crosses are far more interesting than the 1939's. Some 1870's are of very nice quality, but I've seen some outstanding 1914 jeweler's pieces that put most of them to shame.
