Nice bars. I had an idea some time ago of trying to make a collection for display of what are sometimes referred to as classic "soldier's trios": the Iron Cross, a state equivalent, and the Honor Cross for Combatants. The trio reflects a basic soldier's awards for the war (except for the Prussians, who only got the duo), and the EK and Honor Cross on either side frame the state award nicely.

Very nice Dave. These guys bore the brunt of the fighting- no grand strategy here. Just grenades, bullets, the baynet and flamethrowers. For every PLM you see there are 20,000 of these poor guys, just hoping to get home.
