Crown looks to have some very nice Silver Oxide and it actully does. The Silver used for blending with the Gold to get the 585 Gold Alloy has tarnished. Here's 2 other example on how the Silver in the alloy tarnished, both 18K (750) Swedish and Austrian Orders.

This can be a bit deceiving when establishing, from pics, if it's Gold or Gilt Silver but perfectly normal for old solid Gold items.
