this medal bar combo possible?

i got a medal bar and a few postcards all of which are imperial now the thing i was wondering was is this combo possible
its a 5 ribbon bar and is backed with felt it has a brass pin and catch now the ribbons are as follows
ek2nd (1914) what i think is a faded olympia ehrenzeichen(havent aclue what it is!!) 2 long service ribbons with no devices (did they all have to have devices cos this bar is all imperail!) then a sudwestafrica denkmunze
so is this combo possible( im not sure if it is! ) and if so what kind of career would this guy have had?
oh and just to add i got 2 lovely KM postcards 1 5 ribbon bar and 2 2ribbon bars for 35 euros which isnt a bad price
as for pics well once i get my credit card sized new digatal camera i send people pics of it!

Imperial long service ribbons did not have devices on them, unlike 3rd Reich ones (not all 3rd Reich ones had devices either).

I am going to let the hard-core Imperialites field other questions.

I suspect the "Olympics" medal may be the COLONIAL Medal-- I brought up "What makes A Ribbon Bar Pig Happy?" thread for a clear ribbon bar view of both Colonial and Southwest Africa side by side.

Two blue Prussian/navy long service ribbons are entirely possible for a career NCO or PO who went on into the reserves and got that medal later. The precedence on your bar is not correct if it IS a Colonial Medal-- should be after the long services with the Southwest Africa, but that was no problem in the "anything goes" 1920s.

You really need a scanner so we can see PIX!!!!!

My other suspicion would be that what you have-- in the CORRECT position-- is a Prussian Kriegshilfsdienstkreuz, War Effort Cross: try a search on "war effort cross" for THAT ribbon.

you were right about the africa medal thats what the ribbon looks like BUT the secand ribbon on the bar(my bar!) looks like the olympia medal ie (rember though its very very faded) a faded yellowish red ribbion with 5 white stripes going down the centre

This one? Second place is Bremen Hanseatic Cross-- the stripes are all equal size?

Playing 20 questions ("Where were you at 9:42 PM on the night of February 23, 1986?" ) is sooooooo much harder without a SCAN, which would reveal ALL instantly!

i know i know/ but the strips are very thin and very close together and im sad to say im still waiting for a shipping confermation for my digital camers!!! aaaaaarrrghhhh so annoying!!!!
as for wher i was in feb 23 1986 and 9.42 i can safely say i was tuked up in my wee small bed aaaaaaaaaahhhhh so cute

OK, let's try this: bottom bar on the end IS the 1936 Olympics Medal which COULD be on your ribbon bar IF the "Iron Cross" ribbon was actually a colonial award of the Militärehrenzeichen-- and your man did NOT serve in WW1.

Or it could be junk!

(i should have added these all in one post!!) how did you get the 36 Olympic medal any way what did you have to do? and why put it on a ribbon bar? did you have to win a medal in the olympics to have it on a bar?

OK, IF the ribbon bar is good-- and only front and back scans will help determine that-- the "iron Cross" ribbon is probably a Prussian Military Decoration 2nd Class medal for Southwest Africa, and the pre-war soldier was not (like my 40+ years bar also to a SWA veteran) for some reason in the military in WW1.

The Olympic Medal and Decorations were given for "organization" work: administrative preparations for the Games, volunteer work-- NOT to the athletes.
