WW1 EK2 Query

I received a WW1 EK2 the other day bought off the e-stand, I matched it up to my WW2 EK2 and I noticed that the WW1 cross is slightly smaller than the WW2 cross, is this quite common??

Ill post up the WW1 EK2 when I get home from work tonight.

~41-42 mm generally for the 14's,
~43-44 mm for the 39's, and i would
suspect more variation in size/weight
for the 14's than for the 39's.
