Opinions on this EK1.

Hi de Hi Guys, would you be so kind as to give me an opinion on this EK 1. Not being a collector of WW1 awards and having aquired this one (on appro) to go with a 1939 bar, I would appreciate an opinion on It's authenticity and the name, and any history, of the maker..

OH! A Meybauer crest! For me this looks like a very fine and highly concaved cross. A real beauty!

About the maker, this is the crest of Paul Meybauer, Berlin on the back.

Many thanks Major, It's a keeper. I must say that these WW 1 EK' s are rather nice.. I must learn a bit more about them.. "Oh no!!" I hear my lady say... "not more German C##P, at least get rid of that damn Tiger tank in the garden"
