Prussian Landwehr-DA in gold?

The left one is in bronze gilt. Did they gilt these privately for the medal-bar?

This seems to have been a "deluxe" version apparently purchased by the recipient. Most of the ones I have seen have been in officers' bars.

There are also "gold" instead of regulation copper Prussian XV Years Service Crosses, again, mostly that I have seen in the bars of NCOs with the 18+ pension years which qualified them to be booted out as "Leutnant aD" in 1920. Those I assume they wanted to resemble the gilt XXV Years Service Crosses.
