and finally the front. The badge is really light and appears to be stamped from thin brass or brass-like alloy.

      So, what's the verdict?

        Rich:

        1) your scans are really TOO BIG. It is better when the entire object can be seen on the monitor without having to scroll up and down. In this case, because your scans are SO gigantic, and rather blurry from being in too close, I can't be sure.

        2) Lose the lilac knit backing. Reminds me of my Yellow Naughahyde Period! Try something smooth and light colored. Background color/design takes up KB space, which is why I use plain blank white now.

From what I CAN see, this looks like a typical 1920s made thin piece. That's the way they are usually found cut out like this: so thin and fragile you could easily crumple it in your hands... and that may be why they went out of fashion.

That a bit better? I forget to reduce them because I have use a large screen resolution.

So, back to the badge... might be OK? I understand what you mean when to say you could crumple it in your hands...the exact description!

I just find it hard to believe how light it is, but then I have an alu pilots bagde and that feels like plastic!

Yup: that is much better! Now I don't have to guess whether it is a helmet bolt or a laurel berry I'm looking at!

Classic Weimar era cutout type. No problemo!

              Hi,

IMO just a nice privat-purchased piece from the 20ies or 30ies.
This cut-out pieces were never the awarded ones.

              Best regards

              Daniel
