another ribbon bar..

This ribbon bar is currently sold by Manions.... what do you think? The two last ribbons must be foreign (Rumania, Crown Order? looks strange and not completely correct, and may be Finland, Order of the white rose, looks also kind of weird, too light blue). Furthermore is strange that this soldier didn't get the Wiederholungsspange zum EK 2. Kl. 1939.

What it does look nice on this bar is the tailor's label on the back, which could have been placed afterward.

It seems that only the Wehrmacht-Long-Service ribbon faded, the others not. Would be interesting to see, if there is no fading under the eagle. The other awards are ok, but I am not 100% sure about this bar. If you think about the monster-mutant-bar they sold at Manions some months ago...

I'm not sure about the last two ribbons either-- Rumanian Michael the Brave, or ??? The last one could be Italian Bravery Medal.

Aside from not being sure exactly what the awards are, this half-height bar looks good to me.

For uneven fading, check out the new Collections/Groups Forum under my Ribbon Bars collection postings, near the end. I've got a bunch of double Wehrmacht long service bars in there, one of which has similar bleached out blue under the Wehrmacht ribbons. That sort of uneven fading is all too common given variations in dyes and colors--

look at how many Hessian Bravery Medal ribbons we see where the pale blue has bleached almost so white the ribbon looks like a Hamburg Hanseatic until you peek under the backing!
