Some eBay repros worth looking at...

    Hi,

Imo, the following links go to good quality repros which recently sold for fair to good money. The pics are worth saving. If you look through the sellers recently sold items you'll see lots more, but his offerings are salted with genuine items as well. Interesting that the photography is similar to Milwebs notorious "African Hero". Caveat Emptor!

    Braunschweig 1st class...

    Meck-Schwerin 1st class...

I'm pretty sure his 1870 Godet EK1 twin-prong (6190028683) is also a wrong-un, as is his Schott U-boat (6190040779) and Schaper Prussian Naval Pilot (6190032974), among others.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

    There's just.......

.......... no shortage of bad stuff out there folks, I advise extreme caution these days. Even when buying relatively cheaper items. A shame.

I think pretty much everything that guy sells is a high-grade fake, with maybe a few exceptions. At least you can spot the Anhalt, Braunschweig and Meck-Schwerin fakes by that tell-tale hinge/pin setup.

I got caught by this seller in my early days of collecting

I got caught with the Meck-Schwerin 1st class and the Braunschweig 1st class

I wont be buying from him again.

It definatly was a case of a `fool and their money are soon parted' Im a bit more careful about who and where I buy from these days.

Nearly everything he sells is a fake... ok, he doesn`t say that the things are authentic original old pieces - so he is on the side of the law if anyone of the buyers gets angry later on... But sometimes he writes in his article discription things like "comes from an old collection..." and that is why I don`t like him. As you can see, he gets much too much money for these fakes and the buyers think they have original pieces.... not fair

You did not know? I have a large load of photos on fake Iron Crosses. 1813, 1870 and 1914. Here are a few fakes to start with.

              Take care.

Here are two very suspicious ribbon-bar lots on german-ebay. They are made up in my opinion. I guess, stogieman will agree.
