    Help with ribbon bar please

    Hello,

Can any of you chaps identify the first, sixth and seventh ribbons? In case the colours aren't clear, the first is green/white/green/white/green with gilt swords; the sixth is plain green; and the seventh is white/yellow. I think the final two might be Hungarian.

    Thanks for your comments.

Here's a close up of the gilt swords on the first ribbon - they look a bit odd to me. Anyone else think so?

Looks like a parts bar to me James. The first one is Saxon Albert Order, a Knight's grade with those gold swords. (All kinds of funny swords out there, those don't bother me, just a specific unknown maker.) Can't imagine that on there ALONE with the other stuff-- looks like a tab back of Austrian stuff that has been altered.

All green is probably Hungarian here, but lord knows what. It could be the Swedish Vasa Order too! The final one if more than a "Verein" type award would be something Vatican.

Yep - well spotted. Aside from the strange mix of awards, I was suspicious because of the appearance of the tabs on the reverse.

Again, I'm not sure how visible it will be on the scan, but the tabs on the ribbon on the far right and 1st and 2nd from left show signs of tamper (one on the Saxon ribbon is fairly mangled), while one of the tabs on the ribbon third from the right is missing entirely. The colour of the tabs on the Hindenburg Cross ribbon is darker than all the others too.

The things people get up to!

          One other possibility here...

... the plain green ribbon could be the Saxon Labor Service medal, a Civilian award. Came on a plain green, albeit substantially darker than yours, ribbon.
