        4th medal

What kind of medal is the 4th in that row?, displaying the breast and head of the Duke of Anhalt?

Fantastic bars, Bob Thanks a lot for sharing. I especially like the 3-place frack-bar

              Hello and welcome Saschaw!
As you ask questions and answer questions on this forum, you will find that this is a very, very good way to quickly improve your English. May I ask a short question? Do you have access to Grosherzog Baden archives (award lists of orders and decorations)?
              Many thanks

                  Hello Sascha!
Question: In Nimmergut's 4-Volume series on German orders and decorations, he states that the Baden 1902 Jubilee medal in gold was awarded 43 times. Is there any way of knowing a) how many of the 43 were women? b) who they were? I have already received some help from other kind members in Germany, who said that the women probably were the Empress and some princesses from other German states. No additional information, however.
Many thanks, and again welcome to the club.
                  Tony

                    David,

You might be interested in knowing that examples of this Anhalt Jubilee medal, from the late Eric Ludvigsen’s collection, in both silver and gold(plate) are coming up in Jeff Floyd’s auction this coming Thursday, (the 19th).

                    Best wishes,

                    Wild Card

Sorry for beeing late with the answer, I've been on vacation ...

The Golden medals were only given to principals and princes, not to "normal" peolple.
I have no list (I think there is no list about it as these medals were given on the grand duke's costs),
and I do also not know how, many women were given this decoration, sorry ...

Hello Sascha! Many thanks for your help. As you may have guessed, I have such a medal but on a Damenschleife, so now you know the reason for my question about women being awarded the decoration . In any case, thanks again for looking.

                                Hi David -

I am sorry that I missed your request for the auction link until just now.
                                The link is www.fjpauction.com/.

Now comes (I hope) the good news. I just checked the auction results and the current information indicates that the two Anhalt jubilee medals, lots 523 and 524, are unsold.

You may want to check this out and contact Jeff Floyd; and again, I apologize for not passing this information on sooner.

                                Good luck and best wishes,
