Scarce photo of a member of the Jungwiking, youth wing of the Wiking Bund 1923-28.
The Wiking Bund was founded in Munich on May 2, 1923 by Herman Ehrhardt as a successor to Organization Consul which had been the underground organization created from the banned Marine Brigade Ehrhardt after the 1920 Kapp Putsch.
The Wiking Bund was a short-lived organization, disbanding on April 27, 1928 with members going into either the Stahlhelm or SA.
The badge of the Jungwiking was a 53 mm pin-back version of the Marine Brigade Ehrhardt badge but without the cartouche with "Ehrhardt" between the ship and water and oakleaves. I assume this badge must be quite rare as I have never seen one.
A civil stickpin of the organization also existed, a photo of which I have copied from Huesken.
