Die Konterrevolutin - Der Kapp-Lüttwitz-Putsch 1920, German TV Film

I came across this (Die Konterrevolutin - Der Kapp-Lüttwitz-Putsch 1920, directed by Bernd Fischerauer, 2011) and found it quite a good drama on the Kapp Putsch. There are lots of excellent uniforms and insignia, which however also makes me nervous as they'll likely end up on the market, eventually, if they not already.

Here are a couple of scenes showing the Ehrhardt Brigade.

The only thing I question is the swastika on EVERY helmet. That just wasn't the case. It was much more random than shown here. But, I guess it makes for good drama.

I've always believed that the Ehrhardt collar insignia were introduced along with the 2nd pattern sleeve badge just before the 1920 Putsch, despite what Haarcke's book claims: (that they were worn when the Ehrhardt Brigade became a Verbande in the SS in 1934). This films supports this.

There aren't any subtitles, I'm afraid. So, you need to speak German.

    It's available on Youtube.

I have already seen it a few times and I have really enjoyed that movie.

There are some little mistakes in it, but come on....which historical movie has no mistakes.

    I can recommend the movie!

Yes, it's good to see this very interesting period of history getting more notice.

I was surpised to see Hitler in this. Although, Ehrhardt's second in command is very derisive towards him, in a bit of dramatic irony. I didn't know he was in Berlin at the time of the Putsch. I thought he was in Munich.

There is certainly lots of material for film dramas. I've always thought someone should do a movie on Avalov-Bermondt. He was a colorful, puffed up nut-case - perfect for a dramatic bio-pic.

The Goatee is interesting? Was that style of facial hair about that the time?
