I'm always skeptical of proported Freikorps helmets.

I don't know what it would be doing in Croatia.

Interesting but here in Croatia collectors have found africa corps helmets, normandy helmets, berndorf all kinds of varoius armys equipment.
All I'm asking could this be of that period or not.

Yes it could be.

But, there are a lot of fake Freikorps helmets around. That's why I'm always skeptical; not because it's in Croatia.
