One of the most interesting organizations after ww1 was "Der Stahlhelm" in Germany. In 1930 for example, the organization had more than 500.000 members!

Let us start to show, what items from "Der Stahlhelm" are in collections out there!

The most important person of the Stahlhelm was Franz Seldte, who founded the organization in Magdeburg in 1918.

Well, I do have lots of Stahlhelm Bund Photos, but not sure if thats what youre looking for here. One reason I love collecting these photos is the Variations in uniform and insignia. Regulations were not very strict, which makes for interesting photos!

- 1st photo- "Landesverband Hannover" men with mixture of musicians.
Here we see many variations of insignia etc. - JungStahlhelm collar insig, Wehrsport tabs, Double and single cockades cap styles, tinnies on cap, Reichsfrontsoldatentage Tinnie (National front soldats day), and Armband.

-2nd pic- WW1 Vets with Stahlhelm members. Interesting to point out is the member to the left wears a Political Eagle (looks to be a 1936 variation, but wouldnt make much sense!) that faces to the left!. The man to right wears 3 cockades in a row, which is odd. Also he wears the "Old Gaurd -year-of entry" badge under breast pocket.

Again interesting to see photos with tinnies on caps. During ww1 German soldiers started inofficial to wear commemorative badges and tinnies (like the Austrians) to wear on caps.

Later in the Weimarer Republik you can see, that members off different organizations did the same.

Sure!!!!!! Franz Seldte, not Fritz Kloppe! I meant Seldte and I wrote Kloppe....

I have no idea, how this mistake could happen? Perhaps, because my main interest is more in Wehrwolf than in Stahlhelm. I'm surprised, that nobody noticed it up to now.
