Elefantenkopf! - A question regarding extreme hat sizes

    Hello Genossen,

Could anyone out there tell me what the largest size hat produced by the DDR was?
Most sources claim either 62 or 63, but that wouldn't explain this...

64 was the largest regular size and 48 the very smallest. But on special demand they made other sizes, many years ago I had a Vopo Cap with a Hand written 65 inside. That was really the largest I ever saw. I sold it to a swiss collector who needed a Size for a "Wasserkopf" as he ordered. At first I thought he was joking to me, so I asked if he like to have the matching paddles too.

Better too big than too little, I say! I hate when I see a hat I want to buy and then see that's it's a size 57

I've got the same problem x) Need at least a 62... so if someone has a 64 for sale, then I could finally get myself a hat that's too big ^^
