I guess one way to fake butterflies would be to substitute moths.

I'm truly sorry to hear that you too have had adverse dealings with this seller of DDR and NVA memorabilia. I'm honestly on the fence with respect as to whether or not he is an actual crook. I know he is up in his age, and it is possible that is now impacting on what I and many other forum members used to dealing with this individual over the years, are beginning to see. Clearly something in the last few years has changed for the worst. If that is in fact the case, it is unfortunate. However, I have to admit the postage situation I recently became aware of, does in fact fit in with your observation and your comment. I would hope that the matter can be attributed to the former. But the postage thing clearly places his actions in your ball park. That cannot be attributed to, ahem ...... how do I say this delicately ...... oh, of course - age.

Was surprised to see a mistake with a 'buy it now' recently. He mislisted an auction on eBay.de for 2 EURO instead of 2000 and the buyer went nuts that he could not have the General set for 2, which speaks volumes about the buyer as well. Here's the link:

Aside from the mistake (which is quite funny actually) his advertisement with respect to the insignia on the hat and collar clearly establishes Paul does in fact know what Bullion is. He even reemphasized they are constructed of metal wire. So ..... he knows.

Anyway, the matter is water over the bridge now.

Thanks for posting this though. It is quite funny.

              Not really...

If you've sold an item but can't go through with the sale, you can cancel the transaction in our Resolution Center and you may receive a credit on your Final Value Fee.

Possible reasons for canceling the transaction are that the item is lost or broken, you made a mistake when listing the item, or there's some other reason you can't complete the sale.

Note: When you cancel a transaction, there’s no action against the buyer. If your buyer didn't pay you, see What to do when your buyer doesn't pay (unpaid item process).

              1. Talk to the buyer.

Paul would not be in any trouble for canceling the sale. The amount being asked is clearly a mistake and markedly outside of the normal historical price range set for his wares. It would be understood it was a mistake.

The same policy is applicable for the reverse. If an item for example is being auctioned off say for $2.00 and twenty bids are placed, none of which exceed $20.00, and then a person at the last minute intends to bid $21.00, but mistakenly bids $2100.00, they can usually retract it without too much hassle from ebay. Something happened to me similar to this one time.

I was not penalized by ebay, but the seller banned me for life from his site.
