    Official ceremony...

    Hello all - Just came back from my bunker to post a photo that I have had for a number of years. I find this photograph of interest from the stand point that the photo was taken not of the leadership, but of the uniformed members and civilians in attendance. I hope you enjoy the photo as much as I do...

    I would be interested to seeing any photos you have that depict official ceremonies or functions...

      Hey Torsten - Welcome back to the forum...I can answer part of your question. The date of the photo is from the mid 1970s time frame, but as to the location it is unknown to me...

        I have seen photographs like this before and the caption indicated that it was at the opening session of the SED Party Conference at which a deputation of the NVA would bring the soldiers' greeting (Soldatengrüß) to the party delegates.
