    Souvenir coins

Here is a new find... do not quite know to what it corresponds exactly, but I think it is a nice one

    Very nice Olivier.

I suspect it is a presentation award, to be handed out to deserving NVA members by the Berlin Commander. Not certain of this, but it seems logical.

      Thank you Mike !
The 2 coins are just the same ; I have just displaded both sides on the pic.
As you have noticed it has been presented... and I was wondering what SU and HG could mean... then I thought they could stand for Sowjetunion and Hungary the countries of origin of those who signed onto the box... I would guess after manoeuvres with brother countries ?...?

Olivier - A very nice piece in your collection. Following up with Mike's post, I too believe that it was presented to other NVA or WP members. Thanks for posting...

            Andreas,

Nice to see this presentation piece from the OHS Rosa Luxemburg with the inscription included. Seems the Haupstadt Berlin presented numerous pieces similar to this and usually someone on the forum asks about their history ect but we rarely come up with anything other than an educated guess.

            Qlivier,

Very nice piece indeed. One could probably concentrate on collecting things from the Haupstadt Berlin and end up with a very interesting collection.

            Regards,

            Gordon
