Early type dagger - Close ups

Got this in the mail yesterday. It was a real steal at 130 euros and it looks great. Great dagger, great price, great condition!

Good close up pictures of these daggers are very rare (I don't think I've ever seen any). That's why I thought I'd share some with you.
What time frame would this dagger be?

The "scales" on the eickhorn looks almost handmade. Any truth to this?
