I have seen photos with the early numbered FDJ Badge "Für gutes Wissen"
on a darkblue DVP Tunic.
The DVP Tunic shown here, still has a Badge on the left breast pocket.
It says: "World Federation of Democratic Youth"

Und auf den Kopf gehört so ein Käppi
Hallo, did I understand it well that you have to give an para troopers orden/urkunden convolut for these 2 great uniforms???.
I really interested what medals/urkunden they where and for wich person?.
Andreas - Thanks for posting pics of your KVP tunic and congrats. What I find interesting about your tunic is that it looks like it may have been worn once and then put away. The tunic appears to need to be shaved down. Does the tunic have a wool feel to it?
Was there any data information on the inside of the tunic?
Also, when you have the time, could you please take another photo of the collar tabs and shoulder boards not in direct sunlight, thanks and much appreciated.

The Ministry of State Security was created on Feb. 8.1950 and reorganised in July 1953 to the State Secretariate of State Security.
The next reorganisation back to MfS was on Nov. 24 1955.
The Collar tabs in this style (Rotkehlchen) were used up to 1957.
hope it helps a bit.

P.S.: The little pocket's inside are authorised ONLY for the 1st Aid Packets.
Ostdeutschland raises a good question about the shoulder boards on your blue tunic. Normally the tops of the boards would be green for the Volkspolizei and it does appear from the photo that the tops of yours may be a darker/different color. The Grenzpolizei did wear this same style of uniform for awhile but they also wore a green patch on the left shoulder. Look closely at your uniform and see if there might have been a shield shaped patch there at one time.
Incidentally, this blue uniform was only worn in active service from 1948 to 1954. It was replaced by the closed collar green uniform but there was a wear out period where the blue uniform continued to be worn for some duty.

Hello Ralph,
Thanks for your comment.
You are probably right, the Tunic is not in a heavy worn condition.
The pre-Owner also told me,that these "Manschafts" Tunics normally have been worn and used very much and that this Tunic is in a very good condition.Only two minor repairs on the Trousers.
What do you mean by shaved down
The Tunic has a Felt (Filz) feel to it..I guess this is what you mean with Woll feel?
Unfortunatly, only some ink from the marking is left.
Only visible is the writing on one Collar-Button(makers mark and Leipzig)
Here are some(I hope) better Photos of the Collar Tab and Shoulderboard.
