Wow, two very nice tunic!
I really envy you.
Does anyone know what the "cell phone pocket" on the inside is for?
All of my FFW tunics have this (even the really late 80s ones).
Until now I've only seen this on FFW so I've always figured this was some kind of tool pocket for some sort of feuerwehr tool. But now I can tell it's obviously for something else. Maybe for a walkie talkie?

Hello Stefas
Collar Tabs are red(very red) the colour appears different because of the sunlight.

@Mikael
Thank you I don`t know but somehow the Luck was with me the last 3 weeks.
I did not imagine myself to be able to get 2 very early Tunics in such short period and I wasn`t even on a look out for those Tunics.
Sometimes nice Things happen..
Regards
Andreas

PS: But seriously, I think that might be a pocket for a first aid bandage.

Originally posted by SCHUPOTwo very nice uniforms. The narrow inside pocket in the front flap of the tunic is a wound bandage pocket. These were in many early tunics and are a hold over from NS Zeit tunics that often had the same bandage pocket.
Do you know what kind of Badge I could attach to the SfS Tunic??
I'm thinking of a early FDJ Badge or this 1951 Miniature of the first Sport Badge

Andreas,
Your Polizei Jacke is of the rank of Polizei-Wachtmeister per the Januar 1949 rank regulations and your Uniform is the 1st blue regulation uniform per the 1948 regulations. Badges were seldom seen in wear on this blue uniform by NCOs but if worn, were worn on the left side instead of the right as in later regulations. One badge that was worn during this time period was the pin back Ehrenzeichen der Deutschen Polizei. I don't know about the SfS Jacke. Perhaps someone more knowledgable about the MfS regulatons might answer that question.

Thanks alot SCHUPO for the very helpful Info.
I have seen photos with the early numbered FDJ Badge "F******252;r gutes Wissen"
on a darkblue DVP Tunic.
The DVP Tunic shown here, still has a Badge on the left breast pocket.
It says: "World Federation of Democratic Youth"
