    Shoulder Board Question

Yesterday, I received in the mail a beautiful khaki officers shirt captured in Angola or Namibia. It is unusual in the fact that it has had shouldre boards at one time and has had two badges pinned on the pockets (VERY unusual for African items). I think it might have been a political officers shirt because of the badges that had been on it. The badges, I can get. My question is, what color boards should I try and put back on the jacket? I am not sure what color the shoulder boards would be. I know that the Soviets had political officers in their units. Does anyone know what color boards they wore? I know it is a really obtuse, far out question, but I'm really wanting to restore this piece. The shirt is your typical Soviet-style officers shirt and would have to have the slip on ranks that have buttons. I have a pair of Cuban officers slip on ranks that work perfectly, but they were captured on Grenada.

I forgot to mention that the Cuban boards have a red stripe down the middle which would indicate infantry/motrized rifles, etc. Wonder if these would be appropriate?
