    Bundesmarine Tellermutze 1960

Just wanted to share a new purchase. Nice 'waffle' pattern white topped Tellermutze. A very nice fine gilt wire cap tally came with. Dated 12th of Aug. 1960.
Size is 57, must have been it a heavy pipe smoker's home, one picture shows
a nicotine color. I'm leaving it just as.
Would like to invite others to show there Tellermutzes and 50's and early 60's cap tallies, as well. All comments are welcome as usual!!

Front shot with the fine gilt wire tally, been looking for a nice clean example as well. Also there are to small holes, machine made, to apply the cap device.

Just wanted to add this Makers Mark found under the sweatband, anyone recognize it, Looks like a 1959 or 1960 date under it.
                  Thanks.

                    STUGIII,

This not a makers mark. It is the mark of the BWB (Bundesampt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung). This mark means it has been inspected and passed (accepted). The number underneath the BWB is the number of the inspector.

                    Regards,

                    Gordon

                      Gordon,
Thank you. Of all the early BM Tellermutze's I own this the only one I've found under the sweatband. Thanks for the info
