    Bundeswehr Cross .... maker ?

    Hi Gents,

Got this Bundeswehr Cross with other items, but I do not really know anything about these.
Sometimes you can find them on eBay, made by Juncker, St&L or ???

Any idea how to identify the maker of this particular piece ?
I do have a vast collection of 1957 awards, so this one will fit in perfectly .

    Thanks,
    Mathijs

        Last one ....

Although its nicely made & constructed, I'm not blown away with the quality and finish .... common on this type or just a modern piece in my hands ???

          Institution date of these ? S&L ?

Hi Mathijs ! If we could find out what the institution date for these was it could help determine the maker. I always thought that only S&L made these, but I could be wrong ???? Where can we get award criteria ? Tom (57 group guy).

My S&L was marked and had a silver content, but it was an early 1960s example.
My guess is that this one is more modern, and of a very different quality from what I see.

                Some informations in English here:

                http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_o...lic_of_Germany

Since the designation "Bundeswehr cross" was used twice, I would like to amend that this is a civilian medal, not awarded by the Bundeswehr.

                  Hi Mathijs,

                  yout got very good links.
The Ordensmuseum page is the best you can get!

But the cross does not have anything to do with the Bundeswehr.
The Bundeswehr has its own cross, the Ehrenzeichen der Bundeswehr
