I have a Bundesgrenzschutz jacket and parka in my collection, both from the 1970's. I had them both out taking photographs of them yesterday and noticed some differences between the two in regards to the camo patterns.
First off, If I am reading the labels correctly, the jacket is from 1971 and the parka is from 1975.

The jacket camo appears to be of two slightly different patterns. The cloth over the shoulders is brighter and the rain pattern is better defined that the body of the jacket. Is this normal on these jackets?

The jacket camo is also a much lighter color and the rain pattern is not nearly as visible on the "red areas" . The Parka is much brighter and well defined and the rain pattern is very bright across the whole surface.
I would love some insight into this. I know that these questions have probably been asked and answered before, but they must be mixed in and hidden under other topics........
I hope that the photos show what I am talking about. It is much clearer to the naked eye.
