    Help Identify Shoulder Boards

I received these boards attached to a 1970's Bundesgrenzschutz Camo Parka. The boards definitely do not belong with the parka.

The boards look quite old and the trim is brittle and the wool cloth has that "old-brittle" feel and is a bit faded as well. They line up perfectly with the shoulder attachment loops and buttons on the parka, so I believe they must be German in origin. Any good leads or positive ID's would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the link to my photo page that has a photo album of the original parka and the boards I am referring to.

    Here are the boards:

Here is a shot of the shoulder attachments on the BGS Parka to give an idea about the length and size of the boards and button holes:

For what it is worth they look like WWII boards to me.

This was my suspicion as well. I have the feeling the boards were put on the jacket to make it a "WW2 Camo" parka........ I picked the BGS Parka with shoulder boards up off of eBay at a SUPER LOW price...... it was listed incorrectly in the wrong category with a description that was all wrong!!!

Any guess as to what branch or designation these boards would be if they are indeed WW2 Wehrmacht?

Here's a shot of the parka they came on.

1000% not post war, BGS or Bw.

            Nice Wehrmacht straps indeed.

Any estimates about what these are worth on the current market? I'm adding them to my personal collection, but I'm quite interested for my own curiosity.
