Bundesmarine or mechant navy jacket

hi alls

any light about this present given to me from a friend,it is a blue jacket made in federal germany but i dont know if is merchant navy or bundesmarine,gilt buttons with anchors and there is a maker label:QUALITAATS KLEIDUNG
you can see a golden cuff and i would like to know if it is any type of rank...
any lights about this jacket if navy or merchant one.....

Definitly not Bundesmarine. They are all four button tunics. All of the merchant marine tunics that I have seen were also four button but that doesn't mean three button models were not used by BRD Handlesmarine. The maker, PK, is not one I am familiar with either.

Looks like a civilian blazer to me. Uniform-inspired fashion has been around for a long time, with naval-themed garments (presumably meant for yacht owners or wannabe navy officers) enjoying particular popularity among both designers and consumers. It is not uncommon for such items to sport insignias such as sleeve tresse or anchor-emblazoned buttons.
