BW uniform of WWII veteran with bullion rank stars and wreaths!!!

Here is a very nice jacket for a Oberst of the Technische Truppe, apparently a veteran of WW II who had his tunic adorned with silver bullion stars and wreaths. Unfortunately I don´t know who the man was, there is no name in the tunic or in the visor hat which I also have.
Both items will be on e-stand soon, but I wanted to show them first.

nice Tunic, but the Bullion Ranks are available for everybody on extra payment. Even Enlisted Ranks with Bullion Feldwebel or so are available still today for every Rank and Branch.

I must say of the hundreds of uniforms I've seen for sale on eBay, only "Smoking jackets" have had embroidered rank. So this it seems most officers save their money for schnapps and beer

While bullion rank insignia has been available for some time, as Steve says, it was not commonly worn. I have one Generals uniform with bullion rank insignia and that is it.

I have only one tunic with bullion embroidered rank insignia and that is for a Luftwaffe general.

I think, for the smoking Jacket there are only Bullions available as they're a bit smaller and won't fit the Field Officers Wreath in Metal. I have to get the new manufacturers catalog as I "Lost " mine somewhere in the Boxes.
I think to remember that a Feldwebel bullion Rank is around 50 Euros a pair. An additional Pair of Stars for your existing Boards cost about 20 Euros. So maybe that's the reason why you won't see them very often.

All I can say is that in all my years of collecting BW I saw one more service tunic for officers with bullion ranks at a show and one for a Luftwaffe general somewhere in the internet, perhaps here on the forum, but I am over 40 so my memory starts fading....
Now I need room and dough, so something has to go and that´s why I am selling all these items. Tomorrow I will put this uniform on e-stand.
