    Leopard Tank watch

Need a little help please. Has anyone seen one of these watches before?
Basically trying to figure out a time frame, and purpose for their output by the company Garde', if any.
The ones I have were purchased in the 90s. All are individually serial numbered. Only other markings are on the white cardboard sleeve that goes over the plastic case. That has "Classic Universal", 10-66.(model number)?

quartz watch, green leather bands, seems to be a brass case painted green, luminous hands, and a very heavy duty crystal, and made in Germany.
These watches are almost on the verge of being too good for the tourist trade.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Dave

    Paul,

I have not seen this watch before but I suspect it was made for sale to Bundewehr soldiers or possibly civilians. It certainly does not match any of the BW Chronographs made by Heuer. Sorry that I can not be any more help than that.

    Regards,

    Gordon

Gordon thanks for taking a stab at this, it's appreciated. I sent an email query to the company a couple of weeks ago. Haven't heard back yet. If an answer comes in, I will be sure to post it here for those who might have an interest.
Meanwhile, here is a photo of the back of one of the watches. Serial number of 004259.
      Thanks again
      Dave

          Paul,

Thanks for the picture of the back. Interesting that the only writing on it is in English. The one thing that really strikes me as strange about these watches is that Guardé did not put their name on this watch. Every other
Guardé watch I have seen on the web has their name on it. There are some letters at the six o'clock position that don't seem to match any
Guardé watches. Have you tried researching them? I can not make them out.
Anyway, thanks for starting this thread. It has lead me into researching Bundewehr watches which I have found very interesting. I hope that you get a response from the company.

          Regards,

          Gordon

Phil hello, thanks for your input. Pretty much what I was thinking as far as a PX/BX item to remember what you did in the service, or send home as a gift.

Gordon I agree with you as well about the English
            on the back.
Haven't heard back from Garde' yet, probably won't by the looks of it.

For the logo on the front, it looks like WaDü, with the umlaut intact over the U.
At the very bottom, at 6 o'clock, is "made in Germany". Again in English.

I took the back off , and found the 1 jewel clock works were made by the Ronda company,Switzerland.
Here are a couple of final pieces I will add with a thanks for every ones patience . (this might be as bad as me showing my DDR stamp collection
These guarantees were included with some of the watches.

hope this helps somewhat, and thanks again Gordon, and Phil for the help

Always interesting to do research in new areas. Thanks for posting the documents that came with the watch.

              Regards,

                Hello,
for me it´s a cheap watch (5,- €) for selling in the canteen. Open it, the clockwork is tiny, a bigger white plastic part, to fix all.
