    Early BW Magazinpouch G1/G3 ! (?)

Unter the big pile I found in one of the last boxes a single magazin pouch ... unissued and sadly unstamped:

But as one saw a lot of stuff on pictures allready I remembered a picture in Hoermanns book:

The pouch itself is identical but the guays are wearing it in a doubled version ... my speciem is clearly made as single pouch, not cut down etc and made identical to the well known BGS puches ... in natural light it is olive green ...

    Any opinion on it ??

    Regards,

    Jens

Sadly I sold my 50 single Pouches 15 Yrs. ago. Got 10 Marks ea for them, maybe in these day's I could sell them for 11 Marks. Oh, that's only 5.50 euros, so maybe it's a bit more. BTW. I like the E tool Carrier.

Yes, the first type e-tool carrier is still missing inmy collection.
I have the 2nd type web carrier with pocket for the saw and the 3rd without pocket, and the leather carrier. But I have never seen the damned first pattern for sale.

You're right. We used them in the Scouts some 30 Years ago.
Surplus they came very cheap. I remember some 10 or 12 Marks at that time. we also used the pouches, but I had my US M56 Mag Pouches as AB Päckchen what means "Allzeit Bereit Päckchen" what means Be prepared Packet. In there we carried everything inportant for Survival, like Matches, fisrt Aid, Emergency Blanket etc.

              Jens - Great find!

This type of magazine pouch appears to be the same one worn by the captain in the upper right hand side of this picture. Another mystery solved!

              All the best - TJ
