Fallschirmjaeger Post Cards

Gents - I came across some Falli post cards the other day and thought I'd share some.

First up is a comical depiction of a paratrooper; I love it!

Next up, we see the familiar paratrooper greeting, "Glueck Ab!", translating literally to "Luck Off" in English.

I would highly discourage anyone from yelling the English translation out loud to their airborne friends, especially in the crowded, noisy bars where Fallschrimjaegers are known to frequent........

Here we see a head-on shot of the Falli's workhorse, the rugged and dependable Transportflugzeug C-160 Transall.

I recall once seeing one of these birds take off from Kabul International Airport at a very steep angle of ascent and dispensing chaff.

There also seemed to be the sound of automatic weapons fire as well, but I couldn't tell if it was coming from the aircraft or the ground.
