Great, thank you. The cut is different and the HJ didn´t have brown pipings. Okay, HJ-cap is certainly wrong.

          Back to the messkit theme...

O.K., I managed to take some pictures of the messkits.
Pictured on the first three pictures is a messkit made 1956 by PSL, clearly stamped "LS" . Although not easy to see is that it once was painted in the mysteriouse "grauolive" ...it lost mot of its paint as it was used as coocking pot by a boyscout..

On these pictures is a also "LS" stamped one in perfect condition and a khaki one for comparison

...and also a messkit in grauolive, but without "LS" stamp...the blue one ist a 1953 made pot from THW origin...:

It looks to be stamped afterwards. Interesting. All my tins are stamped during production.

It may be that these stamping looks a bit homemade...but the other one with 100% paint looks in the same way and the stamping is also overpainted...so it may be factory aplied. Possible it was a smaller serie so they used a less elaborate stamping toll then for other items...

                Jens,
These messkits are exact strange grauoliv colour as mine, which is unissued (I think). It is interesting that yours are all LS, but my messkit is PSL. I assume they are also three piece?

The question is: what organisation belongs these messkits?

                regards
                Klaus

Klaus, all three messkits in this colour are also manufactured by PSL! The PSL stamp is just above the date but can`t be seen in the photo... I think I should take pictures of the other two with better paint - but its hard to get nearer to them as lots of stuff are between me and the shelf...

My pots are all stamped with ZB or the later ones with ZS. The BLSV-blue ones are stamped ZB, too.

Now I am thinking about the LS-stampings.

                      Today a new find arrived.

A Sanitätstasche of the BLSV, untouched and full.

The dressings bag is a BLSV-bag which was used by the Bundespost after the disbanding of the BLSV, hence the B.P.-stamp.

It ios like a time capsule. All contents are present, even the wound tags with pencil.

                      My other news:

                      A minty LSHD breadbag and

a 1961 dated LSHD shirt. It is a good week, and a few items are still on the way.

                        Okay, now more feed.

I just have got the rare THW-calendar from 2008.
On that all THW-uniforms from the start until now are displayed.
And...I have scanned them for you.

It will need some time to show all. So I will post some now, some later.

The Cover of the calendar. It says "Help in the THW - Registration at the village-unitleader"

An aide in blue BLSV-suit. (I didn´t know that the THW also used the blue suit in the 60´s)

2 mechanics, the left one in the grey working suit, the right one in the tan one.

two aides in the well known khakigrau Einsatzanzug.

Twi THW-members in working suits. The right one wears the black suit used from the 80´s to the 90´s. The left one wears the working suit of the Polizei Nordrhein-Westfalen. The text says it was used by the NRW-THW in the years 1980-1985.

the three parkas are portrayed here. The left man wears the grey parka in same cut as the Bundeswehr one. Used from the 70´s to the 90´s.
The man in the center wears the khakigrau Anorak, the right man the same but in grey pilot fabric.

Here is the current MFA (Multifunktionsanzug) of the THW

These boatpeople are wearing the grey pilot suit.

                          The three rainsuits.
                          Left: Goretex (1990-1998)
center: the early rainponcho of the 50´s (same cut like the BGS-one)
                          right: Plastic rain suit (1975-1991)

Here is the early white drillich working suit. The THW-brassard was worn as a sign of authority.

The sand yellow Drillich suit. I have seen many of them sold as Wehrmacht tropical uniforms...

                          The Kälteschutzanzug.

                          So, finish.

Super reference material. When I get my desktop back tomorrow perhaps I can add something more to this thread.
