Bundesgrenzschutz white Sam Browne belt with holster

Did the BGS wear white leather Sam Browne belts with the national ensign buckle and holster or was this the police or Army? I have one and will post pics of it.

    thanks

Sounds like Feldjäger or Wachbataillon item. BGS not wear the white belts and eagle buckle. Until to 1970s Polizei enlisted men had state police insignia on belt buckle (white belt possible for Verkehrspolizei?).

With photos will be better, but most likely Feldjäger.

    regards

Klaus is 100% correct in that the BGS did not utilize white leather accoutrements.

From my experience, from your description, it is more than likely Bundeswehr Feldjaeger.

Yep, it is Bundeswehr Feldjäger. It is called the Weißzeug.

Here are a couple of images of the first Weißzeug with the "blank" buckle. In the second one the uniform display has the grey and white reflective armbands. I had a whole case of them years ago and had no clue what they were for!

A newer image showing the Weißzeug being worn with the new camouflage uniform:

Feldjäger are the military police of Bundeswehr. They provide security at military bases, security during military practices, military traffic control and deal with problem soldiers, etc.

              regards

sgtmunroe - Are those mannequins set up in your basement or are they from a museum some where?

                  Thanks - TJ
