Jens, I am sorry, but in the color picture is a M1919A6, not a M1918A2.

I will buy the new book, of course, but I am afraid there will be as much wrong captions as in the first book. Maybe an expert in weapons and eqipment should have taken a look to the captions before...

But I am happy that books like yours are on the market. We still need more of them.

Frank, this was the First draft of the layout ans this bug was already exterminated....

On one hand your right...but otherwise today there are experts for everything knowing every detail of even the smallest object. Where should I stop?

              What a wonderful thread!

I came across the Bw forum by accident today!

I'm a collector of very early Bw photo albums, especially from the 50's with the "Splittertarn" uniforms in use.

              Regards, Matthias

I hope this thread is still alive!

I'll show some 1956 Panzer pictures from my collection.

Btw., are the books from Asbjoern still available?

                Regards, Matthias

Perhaps someone can help me identifying these two tanks (post #84). Chassy seems to be the same, guns are different.

                    Regards, Matthias

                      Matthias,

I am sure that Jens still has some of his books available. I'll send him an email about your post here.

                      Regards,

They are M4's too. Hard to say, but possibly there is an different muzzle break under the cover... But there is no source, wich says anything about another main gun.

                          M4's (Shermans)?

I've never heard that the Bw had them in use.

                          Regards, Matthias

Gordon is absolutly right, there are still books available! In Europe they can be easily purchased from the publisher under VS books.de, if needed overseas I can manage it directly...

Yes, it is definitly an M41 ... M4 baesed vehicles within the motorpool of the BW were the M74 and the P7b ...
