No. I don't collect Bundeswehr. I only keep my own flight gear.

Should have kept some. 10 Yrs. ago I sold them for 50 Marks what is about 25 Euros.

Yes I was monitoring the auction. Guess my initial assessment of it being a contemporary cap was a bit off the mark!! Sorry you didn't get it. That said, worth varies by person so best to have a max price in mind early lest you get caught up in a bidding war! Quite expensive for a BW cap, even if quite rare. Like everything else, I'm sure another will come around sooner or later.

Remember, losing by 1 Euro could be deceiving. We have no idea what the winners max bid was.

You are correct about the losing by one Euro bit. It has happened before and will happen again. I am not disturbed about losing at that price. The last one I saw sell, that I did not bid on?, went for Euros 70.00. The pictures will more than do for now as they were very good. Besdies, the fun is in the hunt!
