Are these guys from the Bundeswehr? If yes from which branch?

Definitely not Bundeswehr. Uniforms complete wrong for them. Probably wrong, but maybe Bahnpolizei or Stadtpolizei?

They wear dark uniforms (blue?) and you can just see rectangular dark collar tabs with some insignia on them. Some also wear Schaftstiefel. The boots, light buttons and training with dogs are definitely Polizei. No Landespolizei wore uniforms like that.

Soviet - Thanks for posting these interesting photos.

Diane et al - Thanks for weighing in on this poorly understood and under referenced subject area. I am continuingly fascinated by the uniforms and organizations to be found on both sides of the IGB in the immediate post-war era.

Are there more photos like these to be found in the online version of the Bundesarchiv?

Thank you for your opinions. I received these pictures along with East German pictures, but I knew these were not East Germans at all. I thought these might be Bundesgrenzschutz dog training, but it seems I was wrong.
