Flea Market Find - Unidentified BW Pouch

Fellow collectors - I picked up this unidentified pouch at our local flea market today for one dollar.

The oliv "pleather" closure strap is characteristic of BW gear as is the overall solid oliv canvas construction.

Perhaps it is a specialized tool satchel or pouch for holding manuals or documents? It looks as though its been kicked around the deck of a Marder or the floor of a motor pool office.

I also picked up a pair of NVA felt/leather sentry boots for $10.00. A standard three-piece oliv M-1959 feldflasche was priced at $35.00 USD; I don't think there will be any takers at that price!

Thanks for the help - TJ

There are some very faint markings on the inside that I can't make out. The pouch is about the size of a dinner dish plate.

      The rear view.

Not very sexy I know, but I'm the original Bundeswehr lover - I can't help myself.....

      Take care - TJ

Normally, everything is stamped. I think it's maybe a barracks made Bag for Spare parts for Trucks etc. There you can see them from time to time.

Nico - There is a faint stamp but it's unreadable. I agree that its for vehicle parts or a gunner's quadrant etc.

          Thanks - TJ
